May I ask what made you choose this picture and what is revelatory about it? Serious questions both.
I was looking for paintings of Joan of Arc, she having been a soldier, and selected this one for its focus on her execution, the look on her face, and the juxtaposition of towering signs of civilization with the act of destruction.
