  1. I don’t know if you’ve already read part of it, or if you’re just thinking about getting in on the discussion thread on the main page, but my advice would be to wait.

    You don’t know how long it’s going to take him to finish. I had to stop at book 3 so that I didn’t get stuck in another Wheel of Time(sink).

  2. I’m a quarter of the way through A Game of Thrones and am hoping to join the book club soon.

  3. I’m sure the four look intimidating, but just start small, with the prologue to volume 1. If you’re like me, you’ll be almost halfway through the book before you look up.

    On another subject, I see that Bachmann has a titanium spine. Does that make her Wolverine?

  4. Found Teddy Roosevelt’s The Rough Riders for free download on the Kindle. It’s easy to imagine sitting in a comfortable lounge with TR listening to him tell these war stories while sharing a glass of Scotch.

  5. I’m most of the way through A Storm of Swords, so I should be finished re-reading A Feast for Crows around the time A Dance with Dragons comes out.
