Jaybird

Jaybird is Birdmojo on Xbox Live and Jaybirdmojo on Playstation's network. He's been playing consoles since the Atari 2600 and it was Zork that taught him how to touch-type. If you've got a song for Wednesday, a commercial for Saturday, a recommendation for Tuesday, an essay for Monday, or, heck, just a handful a questions, fire off an email to AskJaybird-at-gmail.com

  1. This is more than a little aiight.

Apparently, one of the bigger advantages of DINKytude is that you stay plugged into the music scene?

Of the last nine albums I’ve bought, 7 of them have come from something you posted that I thought was coolio that I had never heard of before.

You’re pulling me out of undead music land, where all I’ve been listening too is stuff I’ve been listening to for 8+ years. I’m enjoying it.

    • I am always thrilled and terrified to post stuff from my collection.

I have a friend who says something to the effect of “I have never heard of any of these people, Jaybird.”

At the same time, I know that there are folks out there who were tired of these guys before I had even heard about them… and I know that they also feel the exact same way about the last five songs I’ve posted.

I am grateful that they don’t point this out to me… though I would like them to suggest a song or three for a guest Wednesday post.

      • That’s why you *want* them to point it out to you. So that you know who to hit up for the guest post.

  2. Springsteen. Seriously. I had “Born To Run” stuck in my head and somehow all I had on my iPod was the Frankie Goes To Hollywood. So, yeah…I had to fix that.

  3. Heat Guy J. Electric bagpipes and gamelan. Even referencing Wayang kulit.
