Extraneous!

I have downloaded the new XBox 360 dashboard… and, I’ve gotta say, it seems to have lost a lot of convenience for the sake of putting more stuff on the screen at once. We’ve gone from a couple of things at a time to “noisy”. On top of that, I was the proud owner of a Fallout 3 Premium Theme (well, not *THAT* proud) and I got a small amount of pleasure from seeing all my friends standing next to bombs or Nuka-Cola machines or whathaveyou. Well, my theme has pretty much gone by the wayside. I just have the wasteland wallpaper in the back and… that’s it.

All in all, I find myself wondering exactly why they thought that this would appeal to more folks than the previous (and I *REALLY* find myself wondering why they don’t have the option of previous presentations).

Am I missing something here? Those 360 owners out there: Have you downloaded the new Live experience? Your thoughts?

  1. They’re trying to get everything synced up with their OS both PC and portable. Plus they’re trying to appeal to the Kinect crowd of which you are a part of.

As for the theme…. remember when I said that, if you want Avatars, you go with Microsoft but, if you want themes, you go with Sony.

    Yeah……

Still, you get to have the Chuck Norris WOW ad in the bottom right of just about every screen you have so that has to be worth something.
