Weekend!

Holy cow, is tomorrow Friday already?

Indeed it is.

This weekend is devoted to playing catchup in one form or another. On Saturday, Maribou and I are playing catchup for Valentine’s Day (which we were both sick for) and, on Sunday, I go over to my sister’s for the birthday celebrations for pretty much half of the family (3 birthdays within the space of 3 weeks). OH MY GOSH I HAVE TO GO SHOPPING. So I’ll be going birthday shopping for three people in this period as well.

So… what’s on your docket?

  1. Funny that half your family have birthdays this time of year. My wife’s family has tons of birthdays and lump them all into one celebration coinciding with St. Patrick’s Day even though they’re Polish.

In my family, my father’s the only one born in March.

  2. My docket is the same as yours only with Added! Bonus! Marketing! And! Assessment! Homework!

    Thank goodness for beer.

  3. We have a handful of March birthdays as well. My grandmother is coordinating The Event as we speak. August is the big one though.

I have a three day weekend. I will be spending time with friends and family and engaging in a variety of relaxing, spontaneous activity.

  4. A) Trying to write a 5k word policy brief about NDAA.

    B) Working on lines/music for Cotton Patch Gospel.

    C) Going to the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Tournament, where my college’s team is favored, but will have to work extremely hard to avoid losing the championship for the first time in their 5 year history.

    D) Going to a comedy club in Toledo for a friend’s birthday (although I’m pretty sure there’s nothing funny about Toledo).

    E) Grading 20 student papers. (Yeah, like that one’s going to happen.)

    • (Sorry about this, James! I only just now cleared out my spam folder and this got caught in it. Sorry!)
