It’s Thursday, and I haven’t gotten much of anything done this week, but I haven’t posted in a long while here so I feel compelled to give everyone a head’s up.

  • Yes, there will be movie quote blog tomorrow. I know, you’re Jonesing. I can hear your quiet silent desperation.
  • I’m working on the next installment on the “Movie Recommendations Kinda By Decade” series (1950s, 1960s,1970-2008). The 40s are hard (multiple allowances must be made for The War) so it’s taking a while.
  • Jaybird’s recent post regarding A Teacher’s online novel has sparked a creative bit in the back of my brain; is anyone interested in something of a serial here at MD?
  • I need to respond to this and that because OMG I haven’t been Wrong in a while and clearly coblooger Kazzy is completely insane.

Or I’m A Computer. Or maybe I’m THE Computer.

  1. 1. You realize that feature contributes to my feelings of inadequacy to a greater extent than anything else that goes on here (at the greater League), right?
    2. This is probably down to #4 or #5 on that list but, man.
    3. Yes, very.
    4. Holy crap, how did I miss that exchange? We need to stop Kazzy from leaving the house so often if he’s going to fit in.
    5. Possible. Very. . .possible.

    • 1. What’s your wheelhouse? Everybody has one. Single movie – are you obsessed with When Harry Met Sally? Single actor – Clint Eastwood? Angela Lansbury? Horror movie aficionado? I’ll get you a softball pitch, it’ll stump *somebody*.

      4. I know, right?

      5. I am your friend.

      • I think this has taught me that I just can’t remember movie dialogue. I worked in a video rental store on and off for 10 years so it’s not like I haven’t seen a lot of movies in my time Albeit, it’s mostly a ton of crappy 90s and early 2000s stuff that was coming out during that time.

“THEY’RE ALL GONNA LAUGH AT YOU!”

  2. PC-

Bring it on. I *loved* those movies when they came out. I was also 6 and 8 when they came out. And despite my stupid enjoyment of them, I’m confident in the assessment I offered there.

I’m also really excited to be a “coblooger” of you. Whatever that is.

And apologies in advance if my “Heat are Champions” post overwhelms your movie quote post. You do know that happened, right? Or were you too busy working on your “Bill and Ted” flip book?

  3. A serial would be amazing.

And if the movie quiz were all comedies (Marx Brothers, Monty Python, Woody Allen, etc.) , I would nail it.

  4. I’m especially interested in the last two bullets.
