After much work — and we’re still feeling the pain in our sore muscles unused to this kind of manual labor — the side of The Estate at Louisville now looks like this. Not bad.

  3. Actually, we had long-range ambitions of “rocking up” all the planters. The mulch doesn’t last and the dogs dig in it. So, the rocks seem like an ideal way to preserve the ground and the plants; it’s doggie-proof, weather-proof, and attractive.
