Women

Loyal Readers participating in last week’s poll overwhelmingly thought women look better now than at any time in the past. Interesting. I was kind of partial to the 1940’s look; what with the pencil skirts, stockings, and hats and all. Think Rita Hayworth. The Wife agreed with me on this, actually. But apparently we were the only ones.

Instead, you Loyal Readers disagree and think that women look best right now. And I can see where you’re coming from. And if I had to pick a modern counterpart to the beautiful Ms. Hayworth, it would be the lovely and talented Halle Berry.

  1. I almost chose the forties era as well, but then thought of actresses like Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly which made me pick the ’50’s instead. There is no question that the women of today are very beautiful. Unfortunately in my opinion, that beauty is often marred because of this generation’s lack of grace and elegance. Is it possible for a culture to be too down to earth?
