  1. Because they had money on the proposition that New York wouldn’t legalize gay marriage until 2012?

      • It’s poor sport to use the Google, so I didn’t check most of those names. (I just extrapolated from the few I knew.) Maybe Peter Falk was a guest star on the Muppet Show?

        • Fred Savage was Falk’s costar in The Princess Bride [1].

          1. One of the best movies ever made, and I don’t care how much of a girl that makes me.

        • Peter Falk played “The Tramp” in The Great Muppet Caper. Uncredited role, but I’m sure it was wryly amusing and sweet but not too sweet. Like that last line he delivered in The Princess Bride, which brings a tear to my eye every time.

    • The Good Doctor is correct. Perhaps Peter Falk was not Hollywood’s brightest light, but he one of the most distinctive, droll, and genuinely heartwarming actors out there.

  3. Fresh Air replayed this interview last night. It demonstrates that Peter Falk was exactly who you’d want him to be: funny, warm, self-deprecating, grateful for his success, and completely down to earth.

  4. You always knew the hammer was about to come down when he turned on his way to the door, scratched his head and said in that slightly befuddled tone… “There’s just one thing I don’t understand…”
