Monday Trivia, No. 27

This is technically a day late; yesterday was a holiday for me and so I didn’t write a question then. You get it now. Hey, you get what you pay for. Anyway, here goes:

What happened in 1938, 1953, 1962, 1969, 1970, and 1988, and in no other years, and which will not happen again this year?

    • It’s a prominent enough thing that I feel pretty good about asking it. Which is to say, it’s well within the bounds of generally-accepted trivia topics.

  1. Since I was a day late in posting it, I’ll drop two hints in one.

Tuesday hint: if it were going to be happen again, it would be happening right now. But it cannot possibly happen this year.

Wednesday hint: three women and two men have done it. Both men, and two of the three women, spoke English as their mother tongue.
