I’m not condoning anything that may have happened in Oakland. But this is not only a sub-optimal response, but is positively cringe-inducing:

The right response to police abuse is, of course, to file a lawsuit. Cops actually fear that sort of thing.

Idea for a novel: a serial-killer stalks protesters. Seriously, where else can you not only get away with wearing a ski-mask in broad daylight, but blend in with dozens of others doing the same thing?

Zodiac would have had a field day at these things.
