This could be an amazing scientific breakthrough. I’m not sure that there exists a secret coterie of advanced beings who filter knowledge down to NASA scientists any more than I am sure if God exists. But it’s fun to speculate on the possibilities.
The existence and functioning of UFOs — those that apparently wish to avoid detection, but also that are destined to win in a game of cat and mouse wherein skeptics demand smoking gun proof — needs scientific explanation.
And the proffered explanations for how those crafts so move sound remarkably like what’s written in the above linked to article (from a site comprised mainly of those hard-nosed, scientifically minded skeptics). Now this doesn’t mean the UFO explanation is right. But if not, perhaps it’s a story of scientific life imitating science fiction imagination.
For more, see how one of my favorite contemporary authors in the romantic and mystical tradition — Alan Moore (himself a self described magician) — explains how the magic of ideas often from fiction filters its way into reality.
