For a short period of time I lived in Chicago. I have a warm place in my heart for that city and its people. I now live in Vancouver (a city I’ve also grown to be fond of), so let me say though (some) Chicagoans may be sad about not getting the Olympics, rejoice and be glad. Trust me. It’s a total screw job for your city. While it all seems nice on the TV, in reality it means rounding up homeless people, “free speech zones” replete with paramilitary domestic police forces, and a predatory class of speculators who come in suck money out of your town and leave you footing the bill. Have fun Rio. Your reap what you sow.
Does anyone know how you say, “You’re F’ed” in Portuguese? Freddie?
