Canadian Content/Friday Jukebox

Canadian shoegazers extraordinaire hung up their flangers back in 1999, but they’re back with a new album and touring, again. For those of you in Ottawa, they’ll be playing Zaphod Beeblebrox, Friday night. The City Above (a great local band) and And What Army? (a band I haven’t seen yet despite being good friends with them) open. I hope to see you there. Here’s they’re pseudo-hit, Brand New Song*:

And for those of you who always wondered what it would be like to skateboard around (I assume) Chilliwack, here’s Ride:

*Years ago, I picked up a 7″ at one of their shows. Brand New Song was the B Side with Heart of Glass on Side A. I thought, ‘Cool, they cover Heart of Glass, that’ll be interesting.’

Nope. They didn’t cover it. Side A of their 7″ was Blondie.
