My only question upon reading of this latest idiocy is: am I the only one whose immediate reaction was to think of James Gregory and the bottle of Heinz ketchup in “The Manchurian Candidate”?
Update: Per Tom’s comment below, it seems that West was joking. Apparently he doesn’t think the MOCs are Communists. Just communists.
Was West drinking a bottle of this at the time?
By the way, from the same piece you link to:
Sarah Palin and Herman Cain have each suggested in recent days that West should be the Vice Presidential nominee on the 2012 Republican ticket.
No wonder conservatives oppose affirmative action: look at what they think it means.
Zing!
Mike, love it!
Senator McCarthy, so glad to see you again.
Allen West was being tongue-in-cheek, it appears.

UPDATE: West has clarified his statement and suggested that it was taken out of context. After an extended pause, West said, “It’s called the Congressional Progressive Caucus” (which, indeed, has about 80 members).
