The period of greatest legal risk having passed, the Better Half and I are pleased to announce the addition of a daughter to our family. She was born on October 2nd, is very beautiful, and has been keeping me awake at night since she entered this world.
I will be calling her “the Squirrel” henceforth. We are so happy to have her.
Oh HUZZAH!!! Welcome, Squirrel, you are blessed with a wonderful family.
One gentling down, three to go! If everything goes as expected, next week for us.
Good luck! I wish you as much ease as possible during the delivery, and as much sleep as possible thereafter.
AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Is there a registry where we can send you copies of Goodnight Moon?
or Go The Fish To Sleep.
Congrats.
Goodnight Moon Baltimore style.

Yay!!! A baby!!!
Seriously?!?!?! We’ve still got 5+ months to go. You gays have it so easy.
Congrats, good sir. Best of luck with all that the squirrel brings.
Heh. One of these days I may actually write about how incredibly arduous, lengthy, tedious and heartbreaking the adoption process can be.
In any case, I look forward to further updates on Zazzy’s progress. I’m kind of pleased there will be a cohort of League young ‘uns born about the same time!
I don’t think either process is easy on anyone. Thankfully, everyone’s family seems to be growing happily and lovingly.
We just had our 16th week check up. Zazzy was freaking out a bit because the morning sickness had subsided but she hadn’t felt any movements. The lack of any identifiable “symptoms” had her freaked out (as is her way). The doctor whipped out some sort of pocket sized sonogram, found the heartbeat, and literally said, “That’s the baby telling you to chill out.” Cool move by him.
Clancy didn’t feel any movement until after week 20. There was some concern. We nicknamed the baby after movement, but I am actually sorta gathering that until recently Bean is kind of happy not moving around a whole lot.
As I have mentioned, we’re having a planned c-section because JB is breech. We can’t tell if that means that e takes after es mother or father. Did e get es mother’s stubbornness or es father’s laziness? The prime question…
Congratulations good doc, that’s one lucky lady you have acquired.
Is that what you were hinting about? I had no idea.
I personally thought he was going to announce that he was going to give up the medicine business in order to pursue his lifelong dream of being an Abraham Lincoln impersonator.
Naw, he’s going to get a guestblooging stint at The Superficial.
From your keyboard to God’s monitor.

But now I cannot make Rocky and Bullwinkle jokes anymore.
Congratulations. And if that’s a picture of her, she’s clearly adorable.
Daughters are awesome.
Trouble, though. Oh, trouble.
Yes, this.
We are so very happy for you and your whole family! Soon you will need to update your bio-blurb… Welcome Squirrel Saunders!

“The Squirrel” is way adorably cute! And much nicer than my calling my boy and girl “the spawn.” Peace and joy to you! I won’t wish you sleep; that ain’t in your future.
