Evil Geniuses

I have probably linked to these somewhere before in a comment thread or three, but in the event you’ve missed them, here’s a list of some of my favorite evil genius sites on the Internet.

QNTM’s “How to Destroy The Earth”. Snippet: “This is not a guide for wusses whose aim is merely to wipe out humanity… Nor is this a guide for those wanting to annihilate everything from single-celled life upwards, render Earth uninhabitable or simply conquer it. These are trivial goals in comparison. This is a guide for those who do not want the Earth to be there anymore.”

The Evil Overlord List. Yes, I’m aware that there is more than one and there is some contention. This is the first one I came across, so it’s my favorite. No politics!

Technical commentaries on the Death Star. Engineers with too much time on their hands analyzing a device from fiction.

The Evil Geniuses For A Better Tomorrow

Anyone else have some good ones? Also, has anyone played Evil Genius?

  1. Hey… This post title has two words, and there is no exclamation mark.

Who is this, and what have you done with Patrick and Jaybird?

    • Patrick has had polyword titles before.

(I am very disappointed to find that the word for “polyword” is, indeed, “polyword”.)

      • Scratch that… “polyword” is the term for a chunk of words that is absorbed as if it were a single word.

        “Multiword”.

It’s a shame that we don’t have a better word for multiword than multiword.

  2. Dungeon Keeper 1 and Dungeon Keeper 2 are the best “evil genius” sims I’ve encountered.

I stayed away from Evil Genius because everybody compared it to Dungeon Keeper 2… unfavorably.

    • I tried Evil Genius because I couldn’t find Dungeon Keeper a year or two ago and wanted to try one of ‘those’ games.

It was not a good game, just bad mechanics and a really lousy interface.

  3. How about the board game Dungeon Lords (Similar to Dungeon Keeper)?

    Or Vince McMahon’s blog?
