The Triple Threat Title Match is one of my least favorite matches.
You’ve got A (Title Holder), B (Contender), and C (Contender).
B pins C and wins the title. This means that A has lost the title without being pinned (or submitting).
Here’s what usually happens next: A points out that B never beat *HIM* and demands a rematch. During the rematch, there is interference from wrestler D which results in B keeping the title. Now A and D have a program. “That was business. This is personal!” B and C may have a program now, or B and E may have a program for a while.
All this to keep A looking good.
Anyway, the main event tonight is John Cena vs. Alberto del Rio vs. CM Punk.
Spent the morning watching the first three episodes of “Black Books”. We’ll definitely be watching more.
