In 1989, William and Scott Brewing Co. opened and began selling “Rhino Chasers” beers out of Culver City, CA.

The brewery closed in 1997; its brands were licensed by the Minnesota Brewing Company of St. Paul, MN, while W&S went through bankruptcy proceedings. The Minnesota Brewing Company, in turn, closed due to bankruptcy in 2002 (all info courtesy of Beer Me).

I do not know what happened to any of the licenses that were held by The Minnesota Brewing Company. I don’t know what the current state of the Rhino Chasers label is, legally, or who owns the rights to it.

I just want the recipe for the beer that came with this label:

… because that was a damn fine beer.

Per this site http://www.brewbakers1.com/info.htm Impressions Altbier is similar to Rhino Chaser American Ale.

On the other hand you may want to check out Lost Rhino brewery which is the heir apparent according to this article.
