(This Saturday’s reminiscence is brought to us by our very own spivak.)
I find that I’m really enjoying the heck out of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (and am working up to writing a review of it… The short version is that it steals from a lot of really good sources worth stealing from).
So… what are you playing?
I did pick up Old Republic finally. In and around other stuff I’m trying to try it out. Of course feeding a newborn every 3 hours and working on a Print on Demand edition of Fantasticon eats up time…
Dragon Age: Awakening. The writing in Origins and Awakening has been amazing! I’ve got two more DLC’s to play after this (Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt) and then I have to decide if I’m going to pick up Dragon Age II or venture into Skyrim.
Instead of venturing into Dragon Age II, imagine how awesome it must be if it’s a sequel to Dragon Age!
And play Skyrim instead.
And, after playing Skyrim’s storyline… *THEN* go to Dragon Age II.
As a storytelling exercise, Dragon Age II was kind of interesting, but as a gameplay experience, I’d suggest Skyrim over it any day of the week.
Target had Dragon Age II on sale for $15, so I bought it. My plan is to finish the Dragon Age DLC and take y’all’s advice and play Skyrim first.
Probably going to be DMing today online at Avlis. (I urge all Leaguers who have NWN to check us out by the way…)
Might try Star Trek Online at some point.
Persistent world server for Neverwinter Nights?
Yep.
I got a cute little Galaga-clone called Titan Attacks, it’s been a neat little distraction.
I finally sprung for Skyrim this week – sale+coupon made it too hard to resist. It’s finally fully-downloaded (4.7GB!) and I’ll give it a try tonight.
Castle Crashers. Then the other game I received via parcel post, Kingdoms of Amalur.
I’ve started on Kingdoms of Amalur, I don’t think I like it quite as much as you, but it’s still worth playing.
It’s also the first AAA game I’ve downloaded through Steam, which means I got it for nearly $20 less than it would be if purchased through local retailers.
