Okay. They’ve announced that the patch is hitting Tuesday. This is a good thing. (They’ve also announced free DLC to give additional content to the, ahem, “controversial” ending… which is coming out this summer which makes me wonder if I shouldn’t just wait for *THAT*.) Sigh.
This translates to me playing Magic.
So… what are you playing?
I’m not much for day one purchases. Especially in this day and age of DLC. Most games are being rushed out the door with good intentions which only serves to breed resentment in the people who buy the stuff. To the credit of corporations, the consumers keep coming back for more thinking things will be different this time. He really doesn’t want to hit me, he loves me so much.
It was Bioware. I thought I was safe.
I expect buggy stuff that doesn’t work from Obsidian (and it’s usually the type of game that I adore and so am willing to play through/around most of the bugs)… which is not to say that I’m usually not delighted by the patches they eventually put out addressing these things.
Bioware, however, usually puts out really quality stuff. DA2 was a stumble, but it was an interesting stumble. I assumed that ME3 would be as spectacularly awesome as ME2 (which, lemme tell ya, was spectacularly awesome). I was flabbergasted that my game was unplayable out of the box.
I’m playing an iPad game called Galaxy on Fire 2. It’s a space ship fightin and trading game in the mould of Privateer. It’s really in-depth for such a casual platform.
I miss the 80s U.S. perception of the Soviets.
