I brought two books with me on the plane. Game of Thrones, and American Gods.
So… what are you reading and/or watching?

Just finished (a)GoT myself, but of course, the TV is about a book ahead, so no big surprises.
Ventus by Schroeder on the Nook (with a splash of Darwin’s Voyage of the Beagle when I’m awake enough); Kin by Dickinson when they won’t let me turn the Nook on. Mantel’s Bringing Up the Bodies, mostly, once we’re back home.
I didn’t care for American Gods; my favorites of Gaiman’s are Stardust, The Graveyard Book, and Good Omens (written with Terry Pratchett).
Other than that, waiting for the new volume of Robert Caro’s biography of LBJ to arrive. Which brings GoT to mind, actually, since what was originally going to be four volumes has become five, and Caro finishes a volume about every 10 years.
I’m also keeping up with Inside Maegor’s Holdfast punditry.
I’m reading The Great Gatsby for only the second time… our 15 year old son was bursting with excitement the other day for me to watch a movie trailer for the upcoming diCaprio/mcGuire version and that got me searching the bookshelves to see if we had a copy
And, waiting here in the airport, thinking of watching the rest of the episode of Sherlock that Tod set me up with on the plane to Vegas
It was such a pleasure to meet all of you, and a particular delight to have dinner with you both, Jaybird and Maribou!
I’m about to finish Iron Council, it’s been my least favorite of the Mieville I’ve read so far, but it was still enjoyable.
Rereading book six of the Wheel of Time. I plan to finish the series before the last book comes out.
