Holy cow, is tomorrow Friday already?
Indeed it is.
Maribou visiting Canada means that I’m batchin’ it this weekend and so my plans consist entirely of staying home and catching up on essay-writing and video game-playing. I’ve taken tomorrow off, it being my birthday. I look forward to sleeping in until 7:12 AM when one of the cats headbutts me awake asking where the Priestess of Bast is and, anyway, where’s breakfast. Mom said that she was going to take me out to lunch and then… well… the days will probably all blur together until Maribou gets back and I can finally return to the job of being her consort.
So… what’s on your docket?
Happy birthday!
Happy birthday! One of my super fun friends had a birthday a few days ago so we are celebrating this weekend. We are doing an aerial hike!

Soooooo much fun (if you like a workout).
I take it that this is a hike outside?
Yes, silly. It’s above ground. You start out about 3 feet off the ground and work your way up to about 55 feet off the ground by climbing from tree to tree. I highly recommend it. There are zip lines too, which are always a lot of fun.
I was outside once. They let you smoke there.
On the other hand, there are all of those people out there. These people you do not know. Driving. Walking by. Without any clear sense of order and with a disregard for your ability to acclimate to their presence. Unsettling.
Your sun burns! I require frozen treats.
So you’re not leaping from tree to tree as they float down the mighty rivers of British Columbia?
That sounds like fun too. Maybe next weekend.
Thanksgiving! (As I’m sure Maribou knows.)
We’ll be heading out to the in-laws on Monday. It’s pretty great. They’ll feed us food and beverages and spend a lot of time distracting our kids.
For the occasion, I might learn Darlene’s aunt’s new favourite song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M60zW_Mfm58
Happy Birthday JB!
We are heading a bit farther South. The wife is finally getting her long-awaited trip to Dollywood. I get to visit Smokey Mountain Knife Works. The kids get to try the alpine slides. Yay for 4-day weekends!
Got anything on the shopping list for the Knife Works?
Patrick,
I’m looking for a small skinning knife. My youngest daughter has been bitten by the paracord bug so she’s going to load up.
Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday! I’ll be working at the Oklahoma Railway Museum’s Day Out with Thomas the Tank Engine Festival (11,000 people in six days)
Happy birthday!
Rounding up a crew of alumni to see BC take on Army at West Point.
With Monday a holiday, Sunday is one of a handful of days I can get stupid drunk watching football, one of my favorite past times.
Monday will probably be full of errands and maybe breaking down the tree.
