Our assignment this week is to read the next two issues of Season of Mists: Chapters Two and Three.
As awesome as last week was, know that this story gets EVEN BETTER.
We need recappers for these two issues.
As always, if you absolutely positively have to talk about some major spoiler in comments, please rot13.
It has also come up that some wish to have a place where they can yell “DIBS!” I suppose this is as good a place to yell “dibs!” as any. (One should also keep in mind that just because someone yelled “DIBS!” on your favorite book, the one that you were hoping to recap, know that you can still submit one. We’ll read and argue over that one too.) Dibs, so far, behind the cut:
Katherine wants #31, Distant Mirrors – Three Septembers and a January
Russell Saunders wants #35, Beginning to See the Light
Russell Saunders wants #36, Over the Sea to Sky
Russell Saunders wants #50, Ramadan
Katherine wants #53, Hob’s Leviathan
Reformed Republican wants #54, The Golden Boy
Alan Scott wants #75, The Tempest (schedule permitting)
I can tackle the next two. Gimme a deadline.
I read Jaybird this comment and he yelled, “GOD BLESS YOU (no religion).”
He also says, “Wednesday.”
If I volunteered for Chapters Four and Five, what would my deadline be?
Wednesday week. (I shouldn’t speak for JB, I’ve just always wanted a chance to say that.)
Dude, that was awesome.
Wednesday Week.
Maribou points out to me that Tor.com is doing a reread of Sandman as well!

(Ours is better.)
Tor has some great columnists. I don’t know Tim Callahan (who’s doing Sandman), but Jo Walton and Kate Nepveu are old friends from rec.arts.sf.written, and Jo, of course, is also a very talented writer of SF and fantasy.
Theresa Nielsen-Hayden started, then abandoned a Sandman re-read at Tor a few years ago (lack of time and other commitments I think). She didn’t get far but the ones she did were interesting reads IIRC and I think you can still find them on Tor.
