Saturday!

On a lark, I picked up 10,000,000 from Steam. It was a Match-3 Puzzle game (like bejeweled or chuzzle), it had “RPG Elements”, it was 4 bucks. How could you go wrong? Well, I found myself playing it obsessively when I was sick and didn’t have the mental energy to play anything with dialog or plot or anything. Next thing I know, I am watching my score go from 10,000, to 100,000, to 1,000,000, to 10,000,000 to fighting to figure out how to best get over that last little hump to finally break 10,000,000 points.

And when I did, I said “THIS GAME IS GREAT AND I NEVER HAVE TO PLAY IT AGAIN.”

Then I reset it and made Maribou play it.

So… what are you playing?

Jaybird

Jaybird is Birdmojo on Xbox Live and Jaybirdmojo on Playstation's network. He's been playing consoles since the Atari 2600 and it was Zork that taught him how to touch-type. 1. After many years of hearing how good it is. I started watching Friday Night Lights. Space Awesome. The writing and acting is so good and the camerawork so amazing, I can even forgive them the high school full of 25-year-old supermodels.

    • Dude. FNL is indeed awesome. And I don’t even give a crap about football.

A warning: they are sort of infamous for just forgetting about storylines or characters that aren’t working. But this is my only real quibble.

    • I went to high school with the runner back. Ironically, he refused to play pick-up football with us. Didn’t like getting hit. I believe his character’s name is “Smash” or something.

        • Yea. He’s a good kid and a talented actor, as evidenced by his ability to convincingly play a tough-nosed football jock, when he was anything but in real life.

I wasn’t super close with him, but we hung in the same circle. He’s a humble guy, too. We touched base right after he landed the gig and he told me he was “working on a show”. The way he phrased it I assume he was doing something off-camera. Then I saw a giant bill board of his just his face on the Jersey Turnpike.

  2. I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve got this little thing where this penguin is trying to get this fish.
I don’t want to tell you about my penguin.
