Giving up new games for Lent has allowed me to play games that had me say “IT WAS ON SALE!” but then, you know, never play. As such I’m finally tackling And Yet It Moves (a platformer where the game mechanic involves changing which direction is down), Dear Esther (a First Person Meanderer where the narrator tells you what is going on as you walk from here to there and notice things), Magic 2013 (finally getting around to the expansion puzzles) and, yes, that awful, awful game The Binding of Isaac (I *STILL* haven’t beaten the end boss, though).
So… what are you playing?
I decided it was time to revisit Crusader Kings II. I lost my old saves when my old HD died (backups? really? why would I do that?). I am well on my way to creating the Kingdom of Ireland.
I finished 10,000,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Other than that, not much.
I’ve just finished Fallout: New Vegas. Of the three DLCs, I have to say Old World Blues was the only one I really liked.
Still making up my mind on what to play now.
that awful, awful game The Binding of Isaac
I just looked up the game description and…yeah.
Did you ever see the Bill Paxton movie Frailty? Reminded me a bit of that.
if steam is to be believed i’ve put 123 hours into the binding of issac since i bought it at, iirc, $3.50 including dlc.
I’ve only just now unlocked Cain.
Still haven’t beaten the main boss…
But I can at least start buying ladders early in the game.
i’ve gotten every ending with every character. i feel compelled in a bizarre and likely unhealthy way.
Your twitch skills are to be commended.
it’s not even twitch – it’s really not very bullet hellish at all. it’s learning powerup combos and getting very, very lucky.
I must have been unlucky, I tell you what. Maybe I need to play with Cain for a while.
cain is a good choice. samson less so. and eve is a pain in the ass i think. the less said about ??? the better.
I’m at 141, with another 40 or so on my work laptop, but I am still terrible with about half the characters so I’m still missing several endings.
I have The Binding of Isaac from a previous Humble Bundle purchase. I am getting ready to give that a try, after reading all of the comments here.
I started Tropico 4 (ten bucks on Steam, as a backhand to the new SimCity) and playing some SimCity 4. I’d never really gotten a chance to play either. 🙂
Oh, and also ME3 multiplayer.
I have the demo for Crusader Kings 2, however the game still leaves me…confused.
It warmed up to 60 degrees today so I took the new electric smoker on a test drive. 3.5 pounds of pork butt and we had a stellar dinner of pulled pork, mac & cheese and baked beans. Felt like summer had come early.
Mmmmm, pigs ass. {droooooll}
…There’s still snow here.
Not fair.
Still digging holes, mostly. Working on TF2 skills.
Yes, I’ve put in a few hours of Orcs Must Die! as well – pretty fun way to kill a little time here and there.
Oh, good. You’ve only got about half of the traps you’re eventually going to own.
There are some magnificent combos in there that you’ve yet to discover.
doom roguelike now has tiles and no one told me.
