So… what are you reading and/or watching?
I’m going to be spending some time in a waiting room over the course of the next week and hope to get through Game of Thrones while there.

I had a monumentally bad week last week. I spent the weekend in my Mancave (also known as “the basement”) getting caught up on TV shows to take my mind off of things. I “finished” The Event and V (quotes because the shows ended on cliffhangers) and got a couple more episodes through Chuck.
Sorry to hear about your bad week, amigo. If catching up on “V” made you feel a bit better, I’m glad it helped. Me, I’m just glad it’s gone.
Know anyone that’s hiring a family med doctor with rather extensive OB training who is interested in doing inpatient work?
Honestly, watching V was like taking medicine. I figured it was risk-free viewing because even if I was distracted, who cares? Even with that level of expectation, though, the last episode disappointed. I would have to watch it again to be sure, and that’s not going to happen, but I’m pretty sure that the last episode made a couple of earlier episodes make less sense.
I do think “The Event” got a bad rap, though.

Actually, I might. If you would like me to find out for sure (and you’d be willing to consider a move to northern New England), let me know.
August sucked all around.
September will be better.
I hope so. 2011 as a whole has been a doozy, hasn’t it?
September will be bittersweet. Eldest child is going off to college, which is great, but I’m going to miss her.
