This week, I went to the wine guy to ask “Whatever happened to MJ Vallejo?” because, well, MJ Vallejo was my “college wine” and I wanted to see if it had improved any. The guy immediately said “Spanish, right? It’s probably a Crianza!”, and pointed me to a bottle of Marques de Caceres.
It was Californian, actually. It, apparently, got sold… not the grapes or the vineyard but just the name.
It says 10 bucks on the website and that’s what I paid for this one. I probably wouldn’t have paid 11. Ah, well. Enjoy it with a pizza and an evening with the wife.
