Holy cow, I am glad to have August over and done with. Sadly, it spilled over a bit into the beginning of September. I was supposed to have a wine post for tonight but… lemme tell ya, I had to spend Wednesday at the hospital pacing in a waiting room, I had to spend Thursday at the hospital pacing in a recovery room, and I spent today running all sorts of errands and visiting the person who came home from the hospital yesterday (everything’s fine, everything’s grand, everything is healing up nicely).
The main good thing is that I dropped the car off today to get some scheduled maintenance and they were so backed up, they needed to keep the car over night. The pity is that I still have the car of the person who was in the hospital so I have no excuse about whether or not I can leave the house. Sadly: I still can.
On the upside, there aren’t *THAT* many more errands that need to be run on this upcoming THREE DAY WEEKEND!!! Woooo!!!
I’ve already gotten 5 or 6 chapters into Game of Thrones… Tyrion seems really cool. I’ve started telling Maribou that she’s “Waking the Dragon” when she gets on my nerves. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Well, after starting Deus Ex. Which happens… pretty much now.
What’s on your docket?
I’m up to Storm of Swords in the Fire and Ice series. Tomorrow is a photo safari for The Wife’s work, followed by a trip to Costco and preparation of food for a visit with the in-laws in a few weeks. Sunday is a meetup with friends and Monday is a non-labor day.

Heh.

In the books? Or what happens next… when Maribou gets tired of the Dragon bit?
I totally read that the second way.
Tyrion is really cool And if you’ve never read Bujold’s Vorkosigan books, you’re missing out on another really cool dwarf.
