I am getting myself ready for an “anything can happen” extravaganza between two teams that, apparently, hate each other. It’s the War to Settle the Score at Arrowhead Field between the 2-1 Denver Broncos and the 4-4 Kansas City Chiefs.
So… what are you reading and/or watching?
Finishing up “Tales of Beedle the Bard,” after having finally read the last Harry Potter. And then “Something Wicked This Way Comes.”
Tebow was 2 of 8 for 69 yards, but nonetheless led the Broncos to another glorious victory. His QB rating was 102, which definitely shows there is a limit to that statistic’s applicability.
I really liked what Tyler Palko showed me out there. I think he could be Kansas City’s Tebow.
Ricky Stanzi would be KC’s version of Tim Tebow. He was drafted in the fifth round out of Iowa, and currently sits third on the depth chart.
If I did believe in God, I’d start to be thinking by now that He *is* on Tebow’s side, but works in mysterious ways.
Tim Tebow continues to validate the seemingly-insane personnel moves made by Josh McDaniels. Clearly, only McDaniels understood the special talent in Tebow, which allowed him to rid the Broncos of lesser talents such as Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall. If only they’d kept McDaniels on long enough for his master plan to come to fruition. Surely the Broncos would be 9-0!
Or at least, that’s the line I’m going to feed to all the Denver fans I’ll have to put up with tomorrow…
The one TD he threw looms large there. His rushing TD does not figure in that mix at all, though, which also seems unfair.
It does on the ESPN’s TQBR stat. His rating there was 73.3, which is pretty good.
I should mention:
Dude. You should write sports posts for us.
The 49ers are 8-1! The 49ers are 8-1!
Does it also occur to you that Denver is the 49ers but even more so?
Just to record an answer to the placed question: finally taking up Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy in earnest (reading) in preparation for the December 9th U.S. release of the Gary Oldman adaptation (watching). I’m giddy with anticipation of this movie.
