I love the silent comedy look they give these, though I doubt anyone in the ostensible target audience gets that.
It felt to me, if I recall correctly, that there was just a special formula that they were using. It was like the number song always finishing with the one guy yelling “THREE BIRTHDAY CAKES!” (or “(NUMBER) (ADJECTIVE) (DESSERTS)!”) before falling down the stairs.
I had no idea that the painter was the narrator. None.
Me either, until just now.
