Sunday!

I’ve been catching up on Season Four of Fringe (OH MY GOSH IT IS SOOOO GOOD) and I just finished the episode where people started forgetting to remember to forget and we’ve got a plan today to the “let’s drive to the theater together” thing where she sees her movie and I see my movie. I’m going to see Total Recall. (I think I’m going to write my essay about it.)

So… what are you reading and/or watching?

  1. Finally saw “The Dark Knight Rises” last night, too late to join the conversation. Thoroughly enjoyed it, though was aghast about the “happily ever after” ending. Might throw the original “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” on the tube since Zazzy insists that, save for the tunnel scene, that adaptation wasn’t at all dark and creepy.

Still plodding my way through Ken Robinson’s “Out of Our Minds”, our summer reading this year. An interesting book, but a bit heavier than I prefer; hopefully it picks up when I get to the more practical applications of the theory.

  2. Finally saw the Dark Knight Returns and also watched the three Bourne movies I’m exhausted

    • I’ve never seen the Bourne movies… my impression was that they’re mostly “shaky camera fight scenes” that give the illusion of action without actually having to hire a fight co-ordinator. Am I mistaken?

      • umm did have shaky camera but I think the fighting was actually pretty realistic to my untrained eye and my new hubby who is trained said they were some of the best he has seen. The movies are pretty good but I have nostalgia from reading the books in high school many moons ago so maybe I am biased
