Creepy!

It’s been a while since we’ve discussed scary video games. Back then, I made the distinction between the “cat scare” games where, after the initial shock, you’ve got your “fight” portion of “fight or flight” going on good and hard and use the various weapons at your disposal to winnow down the various zombie hordes before you (Resident Evil, Dead Space) and the “Dread” video games such as Silent Hill and Fatal Frame.

Well, it looks like there’s another couple of games to add to that latter category. The Amnesia games. I’m fixing to play Amnesia: The Dark Descent for the first time given that Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs has been announced and will be coming out soon.

Here’s the trailer for the latter:

You know what? Maybe I’ll start playing it tomorrow instead.

  1. Home was really creepy, I’ve been meaning to play through it again since I didn’t quite get to the end properly.
I remember playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent for about thirty minutes and deciding it was too stressful to continue.
