Saturday!

Still hip deep in Assassin’s Creed III, but I’m taking over New York at this point rather than merely taking over Boston. They establish early on in the game a decent rogues gallery and then give you reason to dislike each of them individually and hold the two most dislikable in front of you as a carrot to finish the game. This is absolutely brilliant. I have not wanted to shiv a character like I’ve wanted to shiv Charles Lee in a long, long time.

I’ve also downloaded Baldur’s Gate Enhanced and I’ve rolled up a Monk and just stopped there. I’m hoping to have a week off (maybe Christmas week?) and devote myself to the joys of lounging about the basement in the fuzziest of clothing while I jump from this gaming system to that one. Mmmmm.

So… what are you playing?

Jaybird

Jaybird is Birdmojo on Xbox Live and Jaybirdmojo on Playstation's network. He's been playing consoles since the Atari 2600 and it was Zork that taught him how to touch-type. If you've got a song for Wednesday, a commercial for Saturday, a recommendation for Tuesday, an essay for Monday, or, heck, just a handful a questions, fire off an email to AskJaybird-at-gmail.com

  1. I doubt I will get to much gaming this weekend, but I tried the Drox Operative demo last night. It is essentially Diablo in space with a living world. There are a variety of win conditions. The universe is randomly generated with each new game, and things happen independently of the character. I like what I little I played, and I really enjoyed Din’s Curse, so I may eventually get the full version.

  2. I’m hoping to dig into BGEE in the next week or so. Still playing XCOM and probably will be for a while yet.
