Saturday!

I’m playing Far Cry 3 and, lemme tell ya, this is one of those games that will inspire essays on the role of violence in entertainment. (Note: if you are one who does not mind violence in your first-person shooters, you may wish to pick this puppy up. If you want a full review, one’s coming Monday.)

I was also pleased to see that the Monkey Island videogame bundle was half-price on Steam and, never playing them, I picked them up. I am now in the “First World Problem” territory of being on vacation and wishing I had more time.

So… what are you playing?

Jaybird

Jaybird is Birdmojo on Xbox Live and Jaybirdmojo on Playstation's network. He's been playing consoles since the Atari 2600 and it was Zork that taught him how to touch-type. If you've got a song for Wednesday, a commercial for Saturday, a recommendation for Tuesday, an essay for Monday, or, heck, just a handful a questions, fire off an email to AskJaybird-at-gmail.com

  1. Katamari Damacy on PS2 and Endless Ocean and Wii Music on Wii.

We don’t have a newer generation console, but the games on the old consoles are still fun to play. We still play on our N64, as well. Mario Kart, Donkey Kong 64, Mario 64 are the current favorites.

I have a soft spot for Castlevania: SOTN from the original PS, and have been replaying that one in the evening.

  2. lol 265 bucks (US) for a disk drive.

(though 199 canadian 143 american for a C-64 seems super cheap, I’m pretty sure my father paid 199 US for the C-64 I got for Christmas either that year or the year before)
