Saturday!

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is driving me nuts. I’m having a blast collecting them all and training them and whatnot and the quests are fun and all but the story does the “just kiddin’!” thing far too often. You find a situation where one of your teammates finds a home, a really happy home, and you leave without him… and, as you walk away, he runs up behind you and says “You’re not leaving without me!”

This is in the space of a minute.

You get to a particular town and a different teammate says “I’ve gotta go!” and runs off. A minute later this teammate says “I’m back!”

It’s like they don’t want me to worry too much.

Which is all well and good, of course… but I find myself asking “why did they put that part in there?” more often than they probably want me to.

Thank goodness for Orcs Must Die! The stuff they pull is all of the flavor “here’s more stuff you can use to kill orcs”.

So… what are you playing?

  1. I’m at 9,400,000 or thereabouts (still?). Also, for better or worse, I’ve started noodling around with LOTRO again.

  2. I just got to the last mission in Dishonored, on Normal (which is a bit too easy), low chaos. I’m finding it reasonably enjoyable though not gripping. They seem to provide a lot more fun and interesting ways to kill people than to avoid/incapacitate people, so I suppose I might go back and try a high chaos playthrough at some point.
