(This is a guest post from our very own Reformed Republican!)
For anyone who is interested in virtual board gaming, we will be gathering on Teamspeak tonight at 6:30 Eastern, with the intent of starting the games around 7.
We will be playing Small World. It is a map control game, but it is light, fast, and fun. Races and powers are randomly combined, as you play out a race you get to pick a new one. The goal is to earn the most Victory Points. The game is for 3 – 5 players. Depending on the number of players, we will split into groups as necessary. If you know the rules and are willing to run a virtual table, please let me know.
Vassal, the board game client, can be downloaded here.
Small World rules are here.
A playthrough on Wil Wheaton’s Tabletop is available here.
Vassal Module is here.
For voicechat, we will be using Teamspeak3. It can be downloaded here.

I’m so sorry I didn’t get to do it this time around like I had hoped. Please do it again.
We ended up with a small group this time, but we still had fun. I would like to try again on May 18. Same game, same time, etc.
Are we going to attempt to make this a regular thing? Because I can totally incorporate this into the regular rotation and make this a regular thing.
I would be happy if it became a regular thing, but I am not sure if I can commit to organizing it. If other people want to step up, that would be great.
And if people want to organize games among themselves, aside from whatever regular scheduled game we might come up with, I have no problem with people using the Teamspeak server for that purpose.
How’s this? I think it’s best for everybody involved if we have a week’s notice. So if we feel like doing this, let me know a week beforehand and I’ll make the announcements (and, some weeks, I might even be able to show up).
