Happy Birthday to the Wife!

It’s The Wife’s birthday today. She got her favorite food cooked by me (lemon crepes) and got her birthday present (a craft kit) and got to indulge in some shopping. This morning she took an unusual interest in what I wore towork, and when we went shopping after dinner, she was more interested in buying clothes for me than for her. Although, she didn’t need much encouragement to buy a dress she found earlier today. I didn’t like shopping for clothes for me or talking about clothes for me because it makes me feel fat. But it’s not about me today; it’s about The Wife and the things that make her happy. She wanted a birthday cake — although she’s a chocoholic, she likes white cake with white frosting — so she got it. I hope she’s enjoyed her birthday and that she has a good year to come!
