Since when was it good news when 539,000 jobs were lost in one month? Since September, that’s when. The U.S. Department of Labor had projected a 620,000 job loss rate for April. But it’s still 8.9% unemployment and even if the downward curve is a little shallower (and job loss is only one of several factors to consider in that equation) it’s still headed downwards.
