Tom Bosley, Roy Campanella, Theodore Dreiser, Kelly Johnson, Bob Kane, Art Linkletter, Teena Marie, Freddie Prinze (Sr., you remember Chico and the Man?), Lou Rawls, and John Wooden.
Okay, I know they’re all dead. But they’re also in a somewhat more exclusive club than that; what do you have to do to be a member?
All were buried or cremated at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA?
Good job! First guess, exactly right.
damn!
Awesome!
I suspect this quiz might have been made easier by the fact that the names on the list are almost too disparate, with authors, musicians, actors, and athletes, and a pretty wide range of lifespans, with Dreiser dying before the age of TV. So there’s a limited number of things they could potentially have in common even if you don’t know a lot about any of them. The only real possibilities wind up being place of birth, place of death, place of burial, and the possibility of having all at some point in their lives lived in a particular fairly obscure town or won an even more obscure award.
The reference to them all being dead wound up being a huge hint in this regard, though it would have been easy enough to quickly rule out place of birth.
So much for the double-reverse hint trick. Curses! I’ll head back to the Cruelly Obscure Trivia Workshop and try harder for next week.
Wow. I bow to the master.
They were all on This is Your Life?
btw, I am finding one of the interesting things about these Trivia questions each week is not only trying to think of what various things and people have in common, but guessing what commonalities would *Burt* care about enough to notice?
Elias, I guess when I’m even deleted from submitting comments to you, death has indeed arrived. It would seem at least 99% of all my comments are tased, so as to not offend the poor, irretrieveably lost, woebegone souls who need such barriers and walls. God forbid we ever shake, rattle, and roll such delicate sensibilities!
