On the Freakonomics Blog, the question was asked, “What’s the one issue that none of the presidential candidates are talking about?” I answered, “The well-documented shortage of attorneys to facilitate transactions and the corresponding drag on the otherwise-powerful engine of American prosperity.” This apparently was a wry enough response to be called the “Comment of the Moment” on the New York Times’ blogroll. Yay for sarcasm! (The real answer appears to be “crime.”)
