I wanted to say “age of emperors of Rome at death” but twelve would seem to be either too few or too many, depending on the criteria used to take a subset.
Well, what if you were to use Suetonius’ “The Twelve Caesars” as your guide for who to include on the list? You’d be exactly right then.
I am constantly amazed at how difficult it is to write good hints — that provide useful information without giving the answer away — for completely obscure questions posed in this forum.
We do the best we can. Some times we do better than others. This time, I wasn’t real impressed with myself on that score. I liked the puzzle, but not my clues.
