Okay, so Johanna emailed me the answer. When she’s good, she’d good. So playing for second place now:
Monday Night Hint: Vermont has a rate of roughly 70%, Massachusetts roughly 50%.
Johanna is clearly a warlock.
Nah. That would be Randy Harris who has like a year’s worth of answers above everyone else. I’m just trying to keep my spot near the top of the leaderboard.
Counting this week’s victory, the current leaderboard reads:
Randy Harris: 21.5
Mike Schilling: 14.5
Mark Thompson: 14.33
Johanna: 8
Plinko: 5.333
Owner-run restaurants
Or owner-run overnight lodging.
Oh wait! It is micro-breweries per capita?
Damn! I think I knew this going in, too. 🙁
Tuesday hint: DC’s rate is less than half of Massachusetts.
Percent employed in the private sector?
Public drinking water fountains.
Wednesday Hint: The denominator is “households”
So the numerator must be… motor vehicles?
Another hint: If my family and our neighborhood were any indicator of the rest of the state, I would think Michigan should be much higher on the list.
I limit myself to one guess a day, but this one (based upon a semi-educated assumption about your household, family, and neighborhood) makes me think I have a next guess at the ready.
Minnesota ruins it for me… but I would have guessed something have to do with households that have a boat.
Obscure Wednesday Hint: A guy named Peter might use some of these households this as indicative of a disaster of biblical proportions, when making an appeal to a mayor.
Cats and dogs, living together?
Correct. Pet ownership.
Yay! This is my first one since the Buddha one that I didn’t really get.
Technically, Johanna Hanley of Salem won.
Yay! I didn’t win!
Salem?!
Wow, was I going to be wrong.
Huh. When I saw the part about Peter declaring a disaster, I took that in a completely different direction.
Well, not completely different. There was still fur involved.
You made me laugh and cry… and these aren’t even my memories! What a lovely friend you are. Aww this post makes me sad… Clearly you two have the best memories together! It sounds like even the Atlantic Ocean won’t be able to stop you from making more though!
