I’m sure to return to this idea soon. But the spectacle of seeing the leader of the Republican party swimming against the tide of his own partisans on immigration and the substantial dissatisfaction that social conservatives have with the GOP’s Presidential candidates, I have to wonder if the Republican Party in 2008 is not going through some serious reimagining. More thoughts later on the various factions jostling for position and what I think the ultimate outcome will be.
